Ensemble Placement Auditions

2024-2025

All string, woodwind, brass, and percussion music majors must audition for participation in orchestra and bands. Non-music majors are also welcome to audition for Wind Symphony and Eastern Symphony Orchestra.

ensemble audition materials will be available below on July 1st.

Large Ensemble Audition Instructions:

Woodwind, Brass, and Percussion ensemble placement auditions will take place in-person, during the first three days of classes in the fall semester. Students should download, print, and practice the assigned excerpts and scales prescribed for their instrument.

Audition day and time sign-ups will be available online on Monday, August 12th.  Ensemble directors and the appropriate applied teacher will be present for the placement auditions. More details about sign-ups are forthcoming. Check back on August 12th.
