ILMEA Audition Prep Workshop
The EIU Music Department will hold an ILMEA Audition Prep Workhop on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 from 12:30 to 3:30 PM. This event is open to all high school musicians and any District 5 middle school musicians auditioning for choir, band, orchestra, or jazz placement. Please consider having your students attend. We provide this free of charge.
The EIU Music Faculty will present workshops on audition skills, practice strategies, improvisation (jazz auditions), instrument-specific etude preparation, and tonal skills. Students will also get to hear short performances by EIU ensembles.
