"I chose to attend EIU because of its proximity to my hometown. I live only an hour away from Charleston, so any time that I need to drive home for an event, or simply to grab something that I have forgotten, the campus is close enough that the drive hardly feels daunting. ... It's a lot larger than the village that I call home, however, it is still small enough that I still know my way around."
