General Calendar & Schedule Information

Registration start dates are staggered, depending on the student's class standing. Register on or after your scheduled time, according to classification based on the total hours earned and hours for which you are currently enrolled.

Summer/Fall 2026 Registration Dates

Registration is done online using the Panther Access to Web Services (PAWS) system. For assistance in registering for your courses, contact the Office of the Registrar at 217-581-3831.

Late Registration

Spring 2026 late registration ends on January 16, 2026. Register before the first class day to avoid the $25 late registration fee.
Fall 2026 late registration ends on August 28, 2026. Register before the first class day to avoid the $25 late registration fee.

Weekend or Short-Format Classes

For weekend or short-format courses meeting less than two weeks, the following will apply:

• A student may register for the course through the first class day. 
• The drop deadline will be the day prior to the first class day.  The withdraw period will be the first class day through the last class day.
• A student may wait-list through the last day of the month prior to the class beginning.

For weekend or short-format courses meeting two to five weeks, the following will apply:

• A student may register for the course through the first class day. 
• The drop deadline will be through the first class day.  The withdraw period will begin the following day and end one week from the start date.
• A student may wait-list through the last day of the month prior to the class beginning.

For weekend or short-format courses meeting six to fourteen weeks, the following will apply:

• A student may register for the course through the first class day. 
• The drop deadline will be one week from the start date.  The withdraw period will begin the following day and end one month from the start date.
