Hands-On Experience

  • Create and install a capstone solo exhibition of a focused body of work
  • Practice wheel throwing, hand building, casting, enameling, fabrication and foundry or digital processes in specialized studios
  • Submit work to juried exhibitions and sell original work through student art sales
  • ngage with visiting artists, museum collections, gallery trips and the annual School of Art + Design trip
  • Pursue study abroad, student collaboration grants and creative work through Art Association or Blueroom Magazine

What You'll Learn

The 3D Studio Art B.F.A. is an immersive degree for students who think through materials, objects and space. After building foundations in drawing, two- and three-dimensional design, painting, sculpture and art history, you will complete extensive advanced work in ceramics, jewelry and metalsmithing, sculpture or a combination of these areas.
