"When I visited for cross country and through multiple events, I saw the amazing community at EIU and knew I wanted to be a part of that community. The coaches, professors, and staff members I met were very welcoming, and I was able to see how well they interacted with each other as well as their students and athletes. I knew I would be well-supported and cared for at EIU, so I chose it to be my future home!"Aly DouglassClass of 2029, Science Teacher Ed Physics major
Engineering Physics is designed for curious, analytical students who want to understand why complex systems work and how to make them work better. This cooperative 3+2 program combines approximately three years of physics, mathematics, computing and engineering preparation at EIU with approximately two years in an engineering program at a partner university. After completing both institutions’ requirements, students earn a B.S.
