This 6-course minor gives a good grounding in the basics of chemistry, both theory and experimental. It essentially requires just one more course than needed for applying to professional health schools (Medicine, Pharmacy, Veterinary, Optometry, Dental, etc). In addition, it would be valuable to those who were focused on obtaining bench technician positions or jobs that relate to chemistry (environmental scientist, sustainability, etc), or just have an interest in the subject.

"I didn't expect to get real experience this early, but by my sophomore year I was already working on projects that felt like actual marketing work. It made me feel confident that I'm ready for what comes next."Alex WilcoxonMarketing | Junior
The chemistry minor allows students to add significant exposure and experience with chemistry to their major degree, and requires only 21 credit hours. There are two tracks, where all minors take the year-long general chemistry sequence plus quantitative analysis. Track I students then take the 1-semester survey organic course plus 2 other upper level chemistry courses as electives.
