Each semester a new course is created in D2L Brightspace for every course section listed in Banner. If you are teaching two or more sections of the same course, you may choose to have those sections combined into one course in D2L Brightspace. The new course will honor student adds/drops and allow the instructor to export final grades to Banner.
Complete the Combine Course Sections in D2L request form to have your course sections combined. The form is linked in the left navigation on the D2L login page before you log in. It is best to request to have the courses combined before any content is added to the courses. However, it is possible to combine courses that contain content. After the form is successfully submitted, you will receive an email notification from ITS when the courses have been combined.
