How to Share an Award (badge or certificate)
Users can share their D2L awards (badges and certificates) with a Public URL using the Awards Sharing option in D2L. The user can create a public URL for an award, which can then be shared by email or posted in an assignment dropbox.
So, if you encourage or require students in your course to complete the D2L Student Orientation and share their certificate of completion, they no longer need to retrieve the certificate, download it to their computer and upload it to share the certificate with you. The student can go to Awards within a course, select the ”Share” link below the award, and create a link.
To Share an Award:
- Select “Awards” in the navigation bar in a course in D2L. (It can be any course in which you are enrolled as a student.)
- Select the “Share” link below the award.
- Select “Create Link” in the Share My Award pop-up window.
- Select “Copy Link”.
- Post the link in an email or an assignment dropbox in your course as instructed by your instructor.
