Each semester D2L automatically creates a new course for each course section listed in Banner. Therefore, course accounts in D2L do not need to be requested for catalog courses. However, D2L course accounts can be created for other reasons such as developing a course, a sandbox account, a department or group account, etc. EIU faculty and staff can request a non-catalog course in D2L.
Complete the D2L Course Account request form to request to have a course account created. The form is linked in the left navigation on the D2L login page before you log in. After the form is successfully submitted, you will receive an email notification from ITS when the course has been created.
