Human Resource Representative

The Human Resource Department of Eastern Illinois University has an opening for a full-time Human Resource Representative.  This position will be responsible for providing support for all areas of Human Resources. 

Duties could include:

• Creating, updating, and maintaining personnel records.
• Provide basic office support for Human Resources such as answering phones, processing mail, and reviewing group email accounts.
• Communicate with employees regarding employment status, salary changes.
• Data entry regarding employment contracts, ensuring accuracy for pay records.

Qualified candidates must meet the following credentials:

1. High School graduation or equivalent
2. Any combination totaling two years from the following:

1. Progressively more responsible work experience maintaining, monitoring, and/or processing human resource records and reports.
2. College course work in human resource administration, business administration or closely related field, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:

• 30 semester hours equals one year.
• Associate’s degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months.
• 90 semester hours equals two years.
