As a member of the Student Affairs senior leadership team, the Dean of Students provides leadership to the Office of Student Accountability & Support, Student Life, Student Engagement & Leadership (Greek Life and Civic Engagement & Volunteerism), and the Student Legal Services (SLS), areas of the Student Affairs portfolio. The Dean of Students works closely with the Vice President for Student Affairs.

The Dean leads efforts related to crisis management, campus violence prevention and threat assessment, including training, resource development, and compliance with all applicable federal and state laws. The Dean will be a visible presence and advocate for the student body.

Requirements include a Master's degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, or related field and significant leadership experience responding to students in crisis, resolving conflicts and disputes, and supervising staff. 7-10 years of progressive experience in student conduct, student support, counseling, student activities, housing, or related areas.  Must be able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of, and commitment to, the application of student development theories in a higher education environment. Understanding of best practices based on case law, statutes, and professional standards required. Demonstrated commitment to diversity and experience promoting inclusive excellence is required.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000, commensurate with experience. Preferred start date is June 3, 2024.
