Program Assistant – WEIU Membership Coordinator

Eastern Illinois University is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Program Assistant – WEIU Membership Coordinator for the WEIU Radio/TV Program.  This position will be responsible for organizing fundraising activities for WEIU which includes managing/organizing WEIU-TV/FM Pledge Drives; promoting WEIU at community events; maintaining an up to date donor list; correspondence with current and potential members.

Successful candidates should have strong communication and organizational skills, a knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and have the ability to multi-task.  Must be able to work a flexible schedule when needed.

Requirements for this position are:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in public relations, communications, or closely related field.
• One year of professional fundraising work experience with responsibility for developing and implementing fundraising campaigns.
• Knowledge of Excel.

The Civil Service examination for this classification is a credentials assessment.  No participation other than submission of applicant materials is required from qualified applicants.   The register for this classification will be voided when the position is filled.
