John Siler deposeth and sayeth that Madison Houcke was with him the seconf house below the rail road at time of the firing. Him and Houck heard fireing in town and thought there must e trouble in town and when they quit firing Siler started his wagon and stopped about parkers and Wesley & Frank Daugherty came first to his wagon he then Siler, drove his team above Bruces Calvin Rice there overtook Silers wagon with Levi Friesner on behind him on horseback and said for him to get off and get Silers wagon which he did against his Silers protest & Frank & Wesley Daugherty & Haouk said let him go back to town but John Frazier & Bob Mclane prevented it and swore that he should take him along but he got out on the south west side of Winkleblacks that is Levi Freisner there left Silers wagon and he seen him no more about two hundred yards below Winkleblacks John Frazier over took Silers wagon and there said take Levi Fresner to Thornhills or Rices and Hauk jumped up in the wagon and swore that Frisner should not go to Thornhills for there was nobody there but Thornhils wife.
