Eastern Illinois University Facilities Planning & Management (FPM) is seeking candidates for a Storekeeper II position in the Central Stores unit.  This position is in a promotional line. Candidates should be self-starters; possess a positive attitude; have excellent customer service skills; and have excellent organizational abilities with attention to detail. This position provides specialized support by applying best practices to a wide variety of processes in accordance with appropriate procurement policies and procedures.  The Storekeeper II reports to the Service Enterprise Manager in Central Stores.  Duties include, and are not limited to: purchasing, receiving, storing, and issuing inventoried and non-inventoried items for campus departments, with associated documentation; warehousing operations, including equipment operation, loading and unloading delivery vehicles, lifting up to 50 pounds, and recording the transactions; delivering parts and supplies; conducting physical inventories; and working with vendors to ensure the University is receiving the best available pricing.

Requirements for this position are a high school graduation or equivalent and one (1) years (12) months of work experience comparable to that performed at the Storekeeper I level of this series or in other positions of comparable responsibility
