Assistant Director Alumni Relations

The Eastern Illinois University Alumni Relations Office is seeking qualified applicants for an Assistant Director of Alumni Relations.  This position serves as a liaison to the University for alumni and the Alumni Association.  This involves administering the alumni/development database, providing reports, alumni research, and other duties to promote successful alumni and donor events and activities for the University, Foundation, and Alumni Association.

Duties for this position will include:

• Serving as one of six administrators/data custodians of the Banner System and is responsible for the Advancement module.
• Direct all aspects of the use of Advancement including, but not limited to, biographic, degree, relationship, giving, and prospect information.
• Establish policies for the system and administer access.
• Develop and maintain documentation for users, data entry procedures/processes, and training for users.
• Assist with the annual fund program. Analyze metrics to determine performance, including pledge fulfillment rates and how well various appeals performed.
• Direct all aspects of reporting data from Advancement
• Serve on various committees on behalf of the office.
• Assist in the planning of Homecoming activities and other alumni events.

Requirements for this position are a Bachelor’s degree (120 semester hours) in communications, business administration, marketing, public relations, or a closely related field.  Preferred candidates will have IT experience.

The Civil Service examination for this classification is a credentials assessment. No participation other than the submission of applicant materials is required from qualified applicants.
