We can't wait for you to check in to your new home at Eastern Illinois University! Move-In Day is a busy and exciting time for both students and parents. We are sure that you have a lot of questions about your new home away from home. If you are unable to find the answers here, call the Housing and Dining Services Office.
As we welcome our students back to our residential communities, we will be managing move-in days/times to limit traffic and density of individuals on campus, and in each building—including stairwells and elevators. Students will be able to sign up for a specific move-in time slot using our online form that will be available from July 27-30.
Students who do NOT sign up for a move-in timeslot by July 30 will be assigned a date and time. All New and Transfer Students (including Gateway and Math Placement) will have their Orientation track tied to their move-in date.
Please be very careful in choosing the best date and time that works for you as it will be very difficult to modify your move-in selection after July 30. However, if you do need to adjust your move-in timeslot, please contact Housing and Dining Services immediately at 217-581-5111.
Each resident should report to the residence hall or apartment complex which they are assigned for check-in. At check-in, residents will receive their keys. A picture ID required such as your panther card, driver’s license, state ID, passport, or military ID.
New (freshman and transfer) students will receive their Panther Card and Orientation schedule at check-in.
Move-In Date and Time Registration (Closed)
Students who did NOT sign up for a move-in timeslot by July 30 are assigned a date and time. Your assignment letter will confirm your date and time for move-in. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if there is a scheduling conflict after receiving your final assignment letter.
