The Washington Center

Eastern Illinois University partners with The Washington Center (TWC) to offer immersive internship experiences in Washington, D.C.

Your TWC internship would also earn up to 15 credit hours for the semester or 9 credit hours for the summer.

Life in D.C. isn’t all work, though. Want to know what it was like for someone in your shoes? Hear from recent TWC alumni Loren or Samuel on some of what D.C. offers in your free time.

Ready to discuss this more? See the TWC brochure and contact me at to talk about interning in D.C. next Spring, Summer, or Fall.

See the wide range of internships that TWC offers its students--in everything from politics to the healthcare sector, from education to the environment.

You'll want to apply by the priority deadline in order to be more competitive for TWC's several private scholarships.
