Tues., March 3, 2020, 5:00–6:00 pm, in the Doudna Lecture Hall, Professor Robert Bucholz of Loyola University of Chicago will present “Going to (the Royal) Court: A Visitor’s Guide.” Professor Bucholz has published and spoken widely on the English court from the sixteenth to the eighteenth centuries, queenship has been an invited lecturer in royal palaces and on the BBC, and a commentator on royal ritual on radio and television. “Going to(the Royal) Court” presents the ins and outs of the premodern court and its relation to the modern age.
