Webinar: The Intelligent Professor’s Guide to Intelligent Agents in D2L |
Facilitator: Julie Lockett
One of the most important types of engagement for learners is that between instructors and learners. Adding automation through Intelligent Agents (IAs) in D2L is one way to boost individual interaction with your learners without requiring a lot of extra effort on your part. Intelligent agents are customizable messages automatically emailed to individual learners when the student fulfills (or does not fulfill) a particular task. For example, an instructor may choose to set an intelligent agent to let a student know when he or she has missed a deadline on an assignment or acknowledge a student who achieved an exceptional score on a quiz. Intelligent agents require initial set up (which can take less than 5 minutes.) Then, the intelligent agent works on its own in the background of a course. In this webinar, Intelligent Agents in D2L will be demonstrated. Templates will be provided for recommended settings for common Intelligent Agents including sample messages.
