Shout Outs

Debbie is more then just back office for the bookstore.  Her ability to mesh with all aspects of the store are one of her greatest traits.  Once a task is given it is always comepleted on time without any follow up needed!

Big shout out to Brittany Floyd for being such an amazing advocate for our students and an outstanding administrator on our campus.  She works tirelessly to ensure that our students are safe and treated fairly.  Anyone can see that she is adored by students, faculty and staff.  She IS EIU!  

Huge shout out to Juanita Cross for going above and beyond to make sure her students are getting the best academic advisement and for the care and compassion she shows on a daily basis.  You're the best! EIU is fortunate to have you! 

Thank you Kari for all you do for the students and being a great listener when they feel overwhelmed. 

Lynn has been an invaluable support for both students and other office managers at EIU. I have seen her work with students and go out of her way to assist others time and time again. No matter what the situation, Lynn gives an honest and motivating response. Lynn is a force for positive improvement at EIU, and we are so lucky to have her.

Special shout out to Don Dawson for his commitment to students! Don remembers students long after they leave his advising load and is always ready to help students find the resources they need. EIU is fortunate to have you!

Aaron has been putting in lots of long hours trying to make sure everything runs smoothly. He has been instrumental in conferences for local municipalities and is being a trouper putting together ACES 2024. 

He'll think this is cheesy, but he deserves the recognition, so he gets a shout out anyway. :)

Thank you, Heather (Office Manager in Chemistry and Biochemistry), for the amazing service you provide everyday to make our life easy and efficient! Your hard work, pleasant demeanor, kindness and enthusiasm are an inspiration. You go above and beyond to help us out to serve EIU. We are always thankful to your service!

Joy has been very helpful on a variety of projects including ones that she is not in charge of. When she has a free moment, she always asks if there's anything she can help with. Thank you for your help and for the work that you do!

Danny did a great job putting together the interdisciplinary cannabis symposium. The event even achieved recognition on the local news! Congratulations, Danny! Keep up the good work!

Thank you Debbie for stepping up, going above and beyond on getting mail to departments.   The positive can do attitude has impact on daily, future task/assignment is not unnoticed.    

Thanks so much for your quick response to my questions! I fully expected to wait a day or two for answers and you replied while I still had the student's file up in Banner! YOU ARE AWESOME!

A HUGE shoutout to Mallory for getting the scholarships for All of our students (Current and prospective) up and running on Nov 1st!  You make a difference everyday and I am so thankful for your knowledge and kindness. You are simply awesome! :) 

Thank you for keeping all of us Gold fishes in line this fall Gail! Through the innumerable phone calls with families, students, and faculty members that you take every single day. You make us great with all the work that you. 

Kyle is the BEST! The office simply would not run without her, as her work with students, families, faculty members, and everyone at EIU makes this University a better place every day. Thank you for keeping everyone in the office up and going, as we see you still behind the scenes! 

Thank you is not enough for Shane! She has been awesome this year in helping all of our prospective student to be admitted for this next year! She is the backbone of the office and the university and we couldn't do it without her!

Shoutout to Denise for working day in and out to be sure that all our incoming students can be accepted! The Fall is always crazy, and this year has taken it to a new level! Due to Denise though, she has made it a smooth process. Thank you for being a indispensable member of the team!

Julie is a relatively new member of the EIU community but she is a superstar in working with teacher licensure candidates.  She is knowledgeable, compassionate, and honestly is a solid asset to the university.  She has a warm and engaging personality that helps her students deal with stressful situations.  Thank you Julie for all you do!

Sarah is a true team player and her contributions in helping increase the health and wellness of staff and faculty are truly being seen and felt!  Way to go Sarah and thank you for all that you are doing in this area!

Nathan's positivity and customer service are examples for all!  He is a true blessing to campus, and always a joy to work with.  Whenever he is involved with a moving project, I know that it will get done right and quickly.

Alisa goes above and beyond for the Department of Human Services every day. She is such a quick learner, pays attention to detail, and takes initiative with all Department projects. She is also always kind and has a smile on her face. Thank you for all that you do, Alisa!

Arlene, you are the touchpoint of so many of the library's critical operations and functions. Our day-to-day business wouldn't be possible without your knowledge and skill set. You are the "make it happen" person here and I don't know what we'd do without you!
