The Information Technology Services at Eastern Illinois University is seeking candidates for the position of IT Technical Associate – End User Support Specialist. Duties of this position are to provide end-user support to students, staff and faculty across campus. This includes support to customers who use a variety software and hardware, network and equipment configurations including Windows, Linux, MacOS, printing, mobile devices, and peripherals.
Qualified candidates should have two years of progressively more responsible work experience with end-user technology or a Bachelor’s degree in IT or computer technology-related field. An additional one year of the above experience is also required. Knowledge of asset management (inventory) and/or experience with MS Sharepoint is preferable, but not essential.
The Civil Service examination for this position is a credentials assessment. No participation other than the submission of application materials is required from qualified applicants. Upon successful selection of a candidate, all scores will be voided from this IT Technical Associate – End User Support Specialist register.
