The School of Nursing at Eastern Illinois University is accepting applications for a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The desired start date is August 15, 2023. The department seeks candidates who are committed to student learning, and the academic and clinical instruction of undergraduate nursing students in traditional BSN and RN-BSN programs. Duties include teaching courses; clinical instruction; research; and service. Mentoring and advising students, contributing to faculty governance, and engaging in program research is expected.

The vision of the School of Nursing is to promote health and well-being through innovative, concept guided and interprofessional education, cultivate quality nursing practice, serve diverse local/global populations, and instill commitment to lifelong learning.

The School of Nursing is comprised of a fully online RN-BSN program and new traditional BSN program. Faculty collaboratively work together to provide students, both online and on-ground, with the best educational experiences and preparation.
