Eastern Illinois University is seeking a full-time Accounting Specialist in the Martin Luther King Jr. University Union.  This position is responsible for the daily operation of the Union Ticket Office and the Panther Pantry.  Duties will include:

The qualified candidate must meet the following requirements:

  1. Any one or combination totaling two (2) years from the categories below:
    1. Coursework in accounting, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
      • 9 semester hours equals two (2) years
    2. Coursework in any discipline or a closely related field, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
      • 30 semester hours equals one (1) year
      • Associate’s degree (60 semester hours equals eighteen (18) months
      • 90 semester hours equals two (2) years
  2. Two (2) years of work experience which could include bookkeeping, office support, or a closely related field.

The Civil Service Examination for this classification is a credentials assessment.  No participation other than the submission of applicant materials is required from qualified applicants. To apply, you may submit a completed application, resume, references, and transcripts online.
