Program Assistant -- Athletic Compliance, Curriculum, and Systems Coordinator
Eastern Illinois University is seeking candidates for a full-time Civil Service position of Athletic Compliance, Curriculum, and Systems Coordinator in the Office of the Registrar. The Athletic Compliance, Curriculum, and Systems Coordinator works under the direction of the Interim Assistant Director. This position provides support for student athlete eligibility, curriculum management, the degree audit system, coding within the student information system, maintaining academic records, and customer service support while maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of academic records. This position interacts with various constituents across campus including athletics, admissions, the Council on Academic Affairs, the Council on Graduate Studies, Information Technology Services, academic advising, Certifying Officers, and other staff. This position does not interact directly with student athletes or coaches and does not advise students. This position does provide some customer service support, monitors the records email account, and updates academic records as needed.
The Athletic Compliance, Curriculum, and Systems Coordinator performs professional level duties and provides direct support to the Assistant Director and Registrar in areas related to the following:
The person in this position must possess high integrity, be able to interpret applicable policy, make independent decisions and judgments, be knowledgeable of a wide array of academic policies and regulations, possess technical and problem-solving skills, be able to organize and multi-task, possess excellent oral and written communication skills, and be a team player with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with other units across campus. The person in this position must be prepared to lead work groups and initiatives to improve operations and drive efficiencies. The person in this position will utilize a wide variety of computer software applications including, but not limited to, the Microsoft Office suite, Ellucian Banner, Ad Astra, Degree Works, Acalog, OnBase, BDMS, and other software packages and systems.

Bachelor’s degree in business, communication, social sciences, technology, liberal arts, or a field related to the position.
The Civil Service Examination for this classification is a credentials assessment. No participation other than the submission of applicant materials is required from qualified applicants. Upon successful selection of a candidate, all scores will be voided from this register.
