Eastern Illinois University’s Facilities Planning & Management (FPM) is seeking to fill a Building Service Foreman position.  This position will supervise Building Service Workers within the Building Services Operations.  Duties for this position include:

• Use the Move Request System and the Work Control System to move and document property.
• Train building service workers on the operation of equipment, the handling and use of chemicals, and all aspects of cleaning General Revenue Buildings.
• Check employee timecards for accuracy.
• Maintain inventory control.
• Maintain control of keys issued to employees.
• Inspect and evaluate building service areas monthly.

The qualified candidate must be a high school graduate or equivalent and have three years of experience in building custodial work. 

The Civil Service examination for this position is a credentials assessment.  No participation other than the submission of application materials is required from qualified applicants.
