Child Care Resource Specialist

CHILD CARE RESOURCE SPECIALIST

The Eastern Illinois University School of Family and Consumer Sciences Child Care Resource and Referral is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Child Care Resource Specialist position.  Qualifications for this position are an Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following related fields:  ECE, Child Development, Child Psychology/Behavioral Sciences, Family Consumer Sciences, Social Work, Elementary Education, Child Welfare, or Family Services) or an Associate’s Degree and a minimum of two years of experience ECE. 

Responsibilities include assisting parents/guardians and families with child care consumer education and referrals, recruitment and retention of child care providers, as well as, collecting, analyzing, and disseminating data as required by the Department for the statewide Child Care Resource and Referral system.

The Civil Service examination for this position is a credentials assessment.  No participation other than the submission of application materials is required from qualified applicants.
