Fast Chat 20:20 & Music/Video Improvisation by Brad Decker and Zlatko Ćosić
Saturday, 15 September, 2012 @ 07:00 PM - 09:00 PM |
Fast Chat 20:20 is an event for artists and designers, artisans and creators to meet, network, and talk about their work in public. The presentation format is 20 images shown for 20 seconds each -- just under seven minutes for each presenter. Based on Pecha Kucha, which started in Tokyo in 2003, this format makes presentations concise, and keeps things moving at a rapid pace. The night’s DJ/MC is Robert Petersen from the EIU Department of Art, in the Tarble Arts Center Atrium.
The evening will conclude with a live video mix of original images by Zlatko Ćosić shown in collaboration with Brad Decker performing his own electronic music improvisation. The performance will be outside in the “Pit” located in the Tarble’s sculpture court. Decker is on the EIU Music faculty and Ćosić is a video artist from Bosnia and Herzegovina now living in St. Louis. Decker is a composer and improviser of acoustic and electronic music, who often works with multimedia and interactivity. Ćosić works as a multimedia producer and artist creating films, public projections, video installations, theater projections and live multimedia performances.Categories: Tarble Arts Center
