The Board of Trustees of Eastern Illinois University cordially invite you to the investiture of Jay D. Gatrell, Ph.D. as the twelfth sitting president.
The ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at 1 p.m. in the Doudna Fine Arts Center’s Dvorak Concert Hall. A reception will follow in the Doudna Concourse.
This celebration is open all to the public, all students, faculty, and staff. As seating is limited an RSVP is required.
Faculty and staff are encouraged to participate in the processional in full academic regalia. Faculty and staff should arrive in regalia for line up in the Doudna Fine Arts Center Concourse at 12:30 p.m. The ceremony will be approximately one hour in length.
This formal investiture ceremony of Jay D. Gatrell will feature guest speaker Harlan Cohen.
This is an exciting and historic time for the Eastern Illinois University, and we look forward to celebrating with the entire campus.
The Investiture Ceremony will also be livestreamed via WEIU.
