Melissa is an outstanding individual, always going far and beyond her normal duties! I know you didn't want me to blast you, but I just couldn't help myself:) Thanks for all of your help and guidance! 

Heather, you are phenomenal in your role as Study Abroad Advisor! You have stepped up to all challenges with calm resolve and a willing attitude to improve processes for the student and for EIU. The partnership we have established between our offices certainly has made my job easier - and I thank you for that!

A big THANK YOU to Matt for saving the day! Matt is fantastic at maintaining a positive attitude and helping find ways to put the needs of our students first.

Big Shout out to Don! He has gone far and beyond making sure my transition into Eastern is flawless. Not only he has made it a point to personally take me around on campus to meet everyone, but he takes time to check on me throughout his busy day. Overall a wonderful person to work with! Thank you for all that you do for me and the department! We appreciate you! 

Brittany has had some difficult situations thrown at her this past semester,  but she has been really stepping up and taking intuitive in each of these situations. She is seen problem solving and collaborating with various departments on campus to find solutions.   Brittany is always trying to view each side of a situation and do what is in the best interest for not only the students, but also the staff in her office. She is truly an asset to EIU. 

Megan has been a great help in providing training to me, and our new office manager. Thank you for your time and patience

I like to say a big THANK YOU to Jessica! Being the newest addition to the Eastern crew, I'm having to learn everything from square one. She has made my experience at Eastern so much easier. A HUGE thank you to Angie Hackett for clearing up a benefit issue I brought to her! Angie worked through what had to be a nightmare of numbers to determine where the fix needed to occur. Additionally, Angie kept me updated via emails regarding  the status of the issue and to reassure me it hadn't been forgotten--all while being personable and professional. THANK YOU!

Thank you to Jessica for "holding down the fort" for several days when our chair has been out of the office.  It is just one more way in which Jessica continuously creates a nurturing atmosphere of belonging for our students and student workers, anticipates needs around the department, and supports faculty in our mission to serve students.  We appreciate you and we are lucky to work with you, Jessica!

James thank you so much for all your hard work!!  You made switching out computers a breeze and a lot less stressful.  Thank you for making several trips and making sure it all went smoothly.

Jennifer gives a whole different aspect to the phrase "we are EIU". She has IS EIU to me as a new employee. She is always willing to help not because it's "her job" but because she truly cares about MY success as an employee. She is very patient, calm and cheerful. I truly don't know how I would have made it through these last 8 1/2 months without being able to call her up (sometimes 10-20 times a day) about literally anything and she talk me down from my panic moments. Jennifer know I SEE YOU and you are amazing!!

Monique is an amazing staff member at EIU and is exceptional in her position in the Office of Student Accountability and Support. Her genuine concern and care for students especially those who are in crisis is second to none at this university! She is one of the most unknown but most important assets to this university!  Keep up the great work Monique and thank you for all you do! 

Thanks, Dawn, for your hard work over the past couple of years on the Culturally Responsive Teaching and Leading initiative.  You have brought a wealth of knowledge, passion, and excellent organization to the College of Education's initial efforts on this important work.  Thanks for taking on this extra work on behalf of all the faculty--and thanks for recruiting such an able team from across campus to put on the numerous development and teamwork activities this year.  This initiative would not succeed without the leadership and skill you have devoted to it!!!

For anyone who thinks that COVID is over - just ask the COVID transit team for the reality.  Dr. Don Holly is doing his 3rd move today (two returning to their hall and one going out to Univ Apts.  Hopefully his last of the day!  In spite of his busy schedule, he responds quickly and shows great care when transporting our residents.  Thanks Don - You ROCK!
