When I was transferred to Housing and Dining over 15 years ago, I was scared to be the new employee all over again. Matt Boyer made me feel welcome and was always there to answer any questions, explain any of the many new to me acronyms, conferences, anything!

He probably has no idea how much better he made the work place just by being him.

Dustin is always a positive and kind employee. He's always willing to go the extra mile and is supportive of co-workers. He's one of EIU's many great assets!

RJ went above and beyond this week to help me troubleshoot and develop a special project for my class that resulted in a meaningful high-impact educational opportunity for them. He did not have to put in as much effort as he did but his dedication to the University's mission to prepare our students is unmatched!

Lindsay is truly an asset to the Counseling Clinic. We held a successful Suicide Prevnetion Conference last week thanks to her, as she took the lead in much of planning and organizing of the event. Additionally, she has been a huge source of support for students, as she works closely with students in the counseling clinic. But, most recently she spoke with a class about grief, mental health, and counseling clinic, which was truly helpful to those students. Lindsay is greatly appreciated by myself and all her peers in the counseling clinic.

Shout out to Hope, our Human Services Graduate Assistant, for always stepping up to attend recruitment events and candidate searches. She has been a wonderful asset to our Department!

Darrin, with the help of Ross James, and Jim Ealy, did an amazing job of transforming the Housing departments, East storage barn from a cluster of new & old inventory items haphazardly thrown together, to an organized & functional space that is substantially more user friendly. Inventory that would have otherwise been thrown away was repurposed for the project and that is a win for everybody. They worked quickly & efficiently to get the job done in a timely manner, which speaks volumes of their work ethic. Thank you for the great job, Gentlemen.

Theresa Nelson is a valuable addition to EIU. She is a bsw in housing/dining. Her attention to detail and her her work ethic are apparent in the results of her efforts to help keep EIU looking great. She is always willing to help others and her positive attitude is contagious. (she even once caught a bat with her bare hands). Keep up the good work!

When solutions are needed, these two wizards of technology are unmatchable alchemists. It is a pleasure working with a team so plugged in with the diverse needs of the EIU community. I have yet to encounter a situation where I've reached out to Leon and stumped him with a question regarding the PRM or other technical matters within his expertise—and I've reached out numerous times! Frequently, Leon has assisted me with my queries through patient tutoring via email or by offering to complete the tasks himself, especially if they are more challenging. You are a great asset to the campus community, Leon! Thank you!!

Carol is an indispensable staff member in the KSR office. She proactively helps people, listens and counsels undergraduate and graduate students on a range of topics, and is an all-around great co-worker. Thanks Carol!

Starting this school year, Breck Erwin was a BSW float at Pemberton, Stevenson, & Ford Halls. We had some retirements, since then he has moved over to a Monday-Friday position in Taylor Hall. He has done wonderful since his move! His areas look great, he communicates well with the students, takes great pride in his work, & the building sure does reflect that. Taylor Hall is looking great! I am proud of you! Keep up the good work Breck! :)

I have worked with Jennifer at various times during her career at EIU. She is professional, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. She is a great person to work with. EIU is lucky to have her!
