Danita is phenomenal to work with! She is always kind and understanding, and does everything she can to meet the needs of the departments she works with. She is always on top of things! I'm very grateful for her and appreciate her!

A HUGE thank you to Angie Hackett for clearing up a benefit issue I brought to her! Angie worked through what had to be a nightmare of numbers to determine where the fix needed to occur. Additionally, Angie kept me updated via emails regarding  the status of the issue and to reassure me it hadn't been forgotten--all while being personable and professional. THANK YOU!

Thank you to Nate for finding me a storage cabinet for the Academic Hub in the Department of World Languages & Cultures. I appreciate you going above and beyond to get it delivered in a timely manner! Thank you for all that you do! 

Thank you to Jessica for "holding down the fort" for several days when our chair has been out of the office.  It is just one more way in which Jessica continuously creates a nurturing atmosphere of belonging for our students and student workers, anticipates needs around the department, and supports faculty in our mission to serve students.  We appreciate you and we are lucky to work with you, Jessica!

James thank you so much for all your hard work!!  You made switching out computers a breeze and a lot less stressful.  Thank you for making several trips and making sure it all went smoothly.

Jennifer gives a whole different aspect to the phrase "we are EIU". She has IS EIU to me as a new employee. She is always willing to help not because it's "her job" but because she truly cares about MY success as an employee. She is very patient, calm and cheerful. I truly don't know how I would have made it through these last 8 1/2 months without being able to call her up (sometimes 10-20 times a day) about literally anything and she talk me down from my panic moments. Jennifer know I SEE YOU and you are amazing!!

Monique is an amazing staff member at EIU and is exceptional in her position in the Office of Student Accountability and Support. Her genuine concern and care for students especially those who are in crisis is second to none at this university! She is one of the most unknown but most important assets to this university!  Keep up the great work Monique and thank you for all you do! 

Thanks, Dawn, for your hard work over the past couple of years on the Culturally Responsive Teaching and Leading initiative.  You have brought a wealth of knowledge, passion, and excellent organization to the College of Education's initial efforts on this important work.  Thanks for taking on this extra work on behalf of all the faculty--and thanks for recruiting such an able team from across campus to put on the numerous development and teamwork activities this year.  This initiative would not succeed without the leadership and skill you have devoted to it!!!

For anyone who thinks that COVID is over - just ask the COVID transit team for the reality.  Dr. Don Holly is doing his 3rd move today (two returning to their hall and one going out to Univ Apts.  Hopefully his last of the day!  In spite of his busy schedule, he responds quickly and shows great care when transporting our residents.  Thanks Don - You ROCK!

The Tarble Arts Center would like to send a huge thank you to Bonita and her team in the print center for making sure the Tarble was ready to go with artist list brochures for our K12 art exhibition with a three day turnaround time! We appreciate your continued kindness and flexibility when any last minute needs come through.

Staff Senate would like to recognize Lacey Spence at WEIU TV for producing the monthly "Shout Out" video that extends the recognition of EIU staff.  This video is viewable on the WEIU TV Public Broadcasting Facebook Page, the University Newsletter, and now is requested to be linked on the EIU Staff Senate webpage as well.  Great Job Lacey!  Thank you for taking the time to produce this video giving "Shout Outs" to those being recognized by others on campus.

¡Muchas gracias!  To Chris from carpentry/painting for installing the beautiful art mural in Coleman 1150, the Rincón Latino (Latinx and Spanish Language Academic Hub).  We appreciate his patience through all the "hiccups" along the way as we worked to get it installed.  Thank you for your skillful and friendly professionalism, Chris!

Shout out to Lynn for being the most diligent office manager on EIU's campus and for serving EIU's students with passion and selflessness. Lynn is a comrade to all and embodies the spirit of EIU in everything she does!

Shoutout to Ms. Maggie for being the most dedicated and caring supervisor and service provider on EIU's campus! Thank you for serving your students and staff with grace, humor, and heart.
