The University Police Department at Eastern Illinois places an emphasis on quality of law enforcement, crime prevention, and community policing. The overall goal of the police department is to develop partnerships and joint problem-solving techniques with the community that will increase the quality of life and learning for students, employees and visitors of Eastern Illinois University.
