The department's curriculum is one of the best to further the development of students' critical thinking, communication skills, research skills, quantitative reasoning, and ethical behavior. The Psychology Department offers a selection of online courses that can fulfill the requirements for the bachelor’s degree, typically in two years.
Our online degree completion program is best suited for a student who has completed an associate degree (or at least some college), Introductory Psychology, and College Algebra (or a higher-level math course). It is one of the most affordable and flexible bachelor’s degrees for those who have completed their general education requirements and wish to transfer to an online psychology program.
For a detailed explanation of the Online BA in Psychology and other requirements, please see the Frequently Asked Questions page and the Degree Requirements.
Transfer Students may be eligible for the Transfer Academic Excellence Scholarship, which can be up to $2,500/year! Other scholarships are also available.
“My research interests include applying behavioral parent training strategies to the classroom to help teachers better manage student behavior. Undergraduate students work with me on projects examining teachers’ natural rates of praise statements and finding simple strategies to increase teachers’ use of praise. Students also work with me on projects examining pediatric sleep problems and intervention. These research experiences benefit students who are interested in working with children, teachers, and families."
"My research interests are how to improve teaching and learning in the classroom, particularly with the use of technology. I also am interested in the biological impact of psychological stress. I supervise research projects of undergraduate and graduate students who conduct research on a variety of topics.”
