- Lumpkin College Industry Partners Program
The Industry Partners Program connects companies seeking new talent in business and technology fields with Lumpkin College students. These connections will improve the channels for partner companies to reach talent, whether for internships or full-time positions. In addition, it supports the personal growth and professional development of our students by providing an increased number and depth of touch points with practitioners. Finally, the program is integrated with EIU’s Career Services to provide a seamless system for reaching students. There is sure to be a partner level below that best meets the needs of your company!
Industry Partner sponsorship at the Premiere level is an invaluable way to connect with Lumpkin College students. Premiere partners engage with Lumpkin College administrators and faculty to discuss curriculum initiatives that will benefit both students and industry. Special topics courses can be developed and offered in areas of particular interest to the company, and company representatives are able to provide numerous guest lectures in those unique courses. Current examples of this collaboration are the two new “special topics” courses available during 2024 that are related specifically to mainframe technology. Levi, Ray & Shoup, Inc., a Lumpkin College Premiere Partner, will be providing guest presentations/instruction throughout the courses and may also supply special projects for students to gain practical experience.
Premiere partners are able to interact with students at a private event promoted by Lumpkin College. These types of events are informative to students in many ways, and they allow Premiere partners to provide information about their companies, including internship and job opportunities. Finally, Premiere partners are recognized in person at the Lumpkin College annual awards banquet held in April; this is just one way that we show our deep appreciation for their support of our students.
