Show Us Your Space

Current EIU students living in the residence halls, University Court, and Greek Court will have the opportunity to enter the “Show Us Your Space” Reels competition. Residents can enter one creative tour video of their room, apartment, or suite through the "Show Us Your Space" app on facebook.com/eiuhousing or Instagram using #ShowUsYourSpaceEIU.

The video may contain a tour of their room, apartment, suite or residence hall. The competition opens on April 1 and will close April 12, and Voting will start on April 15. Each Facebook user will be allowed to vote once per day until the end of voting on April 22. Voting will only be counted on Woobox, which will be linked to EIU Housing Facebook page and here once the link goes live. Likes or hearts on personal posts outside of Woobox are not used to determine the winners. All videos become the property of University Housing and Dining Services at Eastern Illinois University and may be featured on our social media pages.

10 bonus votes will be given for those who clearly incorporates one of the following EIU brand characters: Welcoming, Tight-Knit, Caring, Supportive, Encouraging, Challenging, Fun

There will be one overall first-place entry that will win the grand prize of a $75 Dunkin' Gift Card. The second-place winner will win a $25 Jimmy Johns Gift Card. The third-place winner will win a $10 Dining Dollars gift card. Winners will be announced via Facebook & Instagram on April 24.

Guidelines:

1. Residents are allowed one entry per their room, apartment, or suite.
2. Should not have any visible violations of Housing Policies (see Student Handbook).
3. No alcoholic trademarks, logos, or memorabilia are visible anywhere in the video.
4. No other university or college trademarks, logos, or memorabilia are visible anywhere in the photo.
5. If you are visible in the video, please wear EIU merch if you have it.
6. Do not include copyrighted music in your video.
7. No profanity and no negative comments regarding the living space.
8. If you include background music and choose to speak in the video, be sure we can hear the message.
9. Entries are subject to approval by Housing and Dining Services.
