I would like to recognize Dr. Mark Kattenbraker from the KSR Department for his outstanding responsiveness today. A bus breakdown unexpectedly stranded 20 Dieterich High School students who were on their way to a volunteer project in Bloomington, IL, prompting a last-minute visit to EIU. When I contacted Mark, he responded immediately. Within minutes, he arranged to take the students into the gym, introduced them to some of our physical fitness assessments, and gave them a fun opportunity to try them out. They had a wonderful experience! Thank you, Mark, for your dedication and for truly embodying the spirit of student-centered care at EIU.

Crystal Brown helped save the day for a group of visiting students! I reached out to Crystal, and within minutes, she made arrangements to get the students into EIU's Food Pantry to show them exactly how it works. The students absolutely loved it!
