Welcome to New Student Programs!

Thank you for visiting the New Student Programs website! Our website is designed to assist you in learning about events like the Orientation, Advisement & Registration and Transition to Campus programs. Our goal is to help new students make a smooth transition to EIU and connect them with opportunities to become more involved on campus and meet new people!

The First Must Do For New Students: Check Your Email!

We have 3 important reasons why:

1. We will send your invitation to the Orientation, Advisement & Registration program via e-mail. This will provide information about the program and how to reserve a program date.

2. E-mails from New Student Programs (and other EIU offices) will require you to take action!

3. New Student Programs will confirm your program participation via e-mail and send you important reminders.

 Important Information and Announcements

New students enrolling for Summer and Fall 2012:  

• Transfer Students
• Invitations: students will receive their invitation to attend the Orientation, Advisement & Registration program approximately two weeks after being admitted. (check your personal or EIU e-mail accounts)

• Standard Freshmen
• Invitations: students will receive their invitation to attend the Orientation, Advisement & Registration program approximately two weeks after being admitted beginning March 11, 2012.  (check your personal or EIU e-mail accounts)
