Whether asked to speak on diversity, education, or women's issues, I bring the perspective of how individuals with disabilities fit and how we all benefit from understanding and including the full spectrum of humanity. It is important to include a historical context for each of these topics as well, as often the audience may be younger. To fully comprehend the current research, policies, and issues, it is essential to learn/understand the journey to this point. I have spoken to teachers, parents, and individuals with/without disabilities. I maintain a conversational and interactive atmosphere rather than lecture then Q & A.
