Dr. Kaninika Bhatnagar
Assistant ProfessorINTRODUCTION
Kaninika Bhatnagar is an Assistant Professor in the School of Technology, and Women’s Studies faculty at Eastern. She earned her Ph.D. in technology from the Eastern Michigan University. Her doctoral work was based on researching gender differences in high school students’ technology perceptions. Her dissertation research portfolio can be viewed at http://people.emich.edu/kbhatnag/KaninikaPortfolio/ Since then her work has led to several allied projects and publications, such as in the Proceedings of the American Society of Engineering Education (ASEE), the Journal of Engineering Technology (JET), and the Advancing Women in Leadership Journal from the Research on Women in Education (RWE). Her book chapter on women and SCM is currently in press. She has an academic background in architecture and construction, MS in Architecture from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She teaches a wide variety of courses, such as Industrial Materials, Architectural Drafting, Global Technology, and the Women and Technology Senior Seminar. Her primary research interest is the interaction of diversity in general, and gender in particular, with science and technology issues in the new century.
