The admission process seems intimidating, but thanks to MyEIU, we’ve made it simpler than ever. Your MyEIU account takes you through every step.
You can also get in touch with our admissions counselors at 217-581-2223 or via email at admissions@eiu.edu. They'll be able to get you on the right path!
Upon admission new freshman will be asked to submit an enrollment deposit by May 1 and all students living on campus a housing deposit by June 12. Prior to your arrival on campus, all first time students will also be asked to complete a medical examination form and will be contacted regarding your class schedule, housing accommodations and other details.
With around 200 undergraduate majors, two graduate programs, and 25 faculty with Ph.Ds from top universities, EIU’s Department of History provides students with both variety in curriculum and individualized attention.
Whether your hope after graduation is to teach, move into the world of business, or continue on to graduate or professional school in history, information sciences, law or historical administration, your history degree from EIU will provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to be successful.
