ScienceFest is the College of Sciences' celebration of both faculty and student excellence in teaching, service, and research. This academic year it will be held on April 11, 2014.
Undergraduate and graduate students, along with their faculty mentors, are recognized for their outstanding research accomplishments in the awarding of Scholars in Undergraduate Research at Eastern (SURE) and Graduate Student Investigator (GSI) Awards. These students are then invited to share their research during ScienceFest with a poster session that allows all who attend to recognize and appreciate their hard work.
Multiple awards are also given during ScienceFest to outstanding faculty in the College of Sciences. These include the Baharlou Service Award, Lida G. Wall Mentor Award, Hanner Teaching Excellence Award, and the Lawrence Ringenberg Award. The recipients are nominated and chosen by their peers for these prestigious awards. More information about each of these awards can be found on the College of Sciences website.
