For every student who “goes Greek” at Eastern Illinois University, taking part in some manner of philanthropic work is a required element of each semester. That doesn’t mean these students are just going through the motions to comply with a rule, however.
Take the members of Kappa Delta sorority, for example. It’s clear from the footage and interviews in the video above that these students love interacting with the young people of Charleston and have used the experience to advance their own personal growth and perspective on life; their influences on these children have obviously been equally positive and uplifting.
