Eastern Illinois University longboarders had a chance to fulfill their need for speed Saturday at the First Annual Panther Push, a 3.7-mile race around campus as well as out into the city of Charleston.
Race organizers Samantha Marsteller and Jessica Hegberg arranged for sponsorships and planned to have prizes for all who competed; the race began and ended in front of the Mellin Steps of Doudna Fine Arts Center.
