My advice to prospective students and their families is to do two things while considering EIU. Visit us at one of our many Open House Programs. We offer academic and scholarship information sessions, as well as, opportunities to meet faculty, staff and students. Take a tour of our beautiful campus, residence halls and enjoy lunch while you are here…you will know by the time you leave, if EIU is a good fit for you. Secondly, seek out an EIU alum! They are everywhere! They may be a family member, high school teacher, or neighbor. They are the ones who will offer first-hand expertise on their education, experiences and opportunities that they took advantage of, while attending EIU and thereafter! They are the happiest group of people I meet, while traveling throughout Illinois!
