Transfer Automatic Academic Excellence Scholarship 

Academically talented students are automatically considered for Merit Scholarships up to $5,000, renewable for two years, when they apply to EIU.

Textbook Rental Grant

If you are an Illinois resident and you have a minimum of a 3.3/4.0 GPA, you will receive an additional $300 per year over 2 years.

Panther Promise Tuition Waiver

Students who file a FAFSA and have a household income between $55,000 and $100,000 can be awarded up to $2,500 a year for up to two years.

EIU Promise

EIU Promise can significantly reduce – and in some cases completely eliminate – tuition and fees for qualified Illinois students.

City Colleges of Chicago Star Scholar Award

If you are transferring to Eastern from City Colleges of Chicago and you are part of the Star Scholar program, this award is designed to make your next step even more affordable.

Honors Scholarship

The Sandra & Jack Pine Honors College offers the Honors Transfer Student Scholarship, a competitive award for new EIU students who have been enrolled in an Honors program at a post-secondary institution before attending Eastern.

Phi Theta Kappa

A one-time award worth $1,000 for fall admits only. Associate degree required. Application available at Academic Works.

Student Success & Engagement Award

Students who do not meet the GPA requirements for the Automatic Merit Scholarships but showcase leadership and involvement can receive $2,000.
