Student Success & Engagement Award
If you don't meet GPA requirements for Merit Scholarships, but showcase leadership and involvement, you can receive $1,000 annually.
Students who do not meet the GPA requirements for the Automatic Merit Scholarships but showcase leadership and involvement can receive $1,000 annually through the Success and Engagement Award. To apply, fill out the "Activities, Involvement, and Jobs" section in your MyEIU profile. We'll review your file and see if you qualify for the scholarship!
Awarding Criteria
- Be enrolled full-time (12+ hours).
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 and not eligible for merit scholarship.
- Indicate current activities, involvement, or work activities in the student's MyEIU profile.
Renewal Criteria:
- Be enrolled full-time (12+ hours).
- Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress.
- Submit narrative describing continued involvement within EIU’s campus community.
