Aging Studies -Minor

The Aging Studies minor is an 18-hour interdisciplinary program designed to offer students the opportunity to gain expertise on the holistic process of aging and developmentally appropriate and responsive professional practice related to health, family support, public policy, and socio-cultural issues.

Financial Literacy -Minor

The mission of the Financial Literacy Minor at Eastern Illinois University is to develop skills in students and prepare them to educate individuals and families in budgeting and debt management. US human services and government programs and resources designed to improve the quality of life for individuals and families throughout the lifespan are examined.

BS Nutrition and Dietetics (Options: Nutrition Ed or Dietetics Internship)

Our program offers small classes, hands-on application, creative coursework and a venue to become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. If you wish to pursue other options in dietetics, such as working as a WIC nutritionist, food inspector, quality assurance manager or product developer in THE food industry, school food director, or as a health advocate, we offer courses that will help you to achieve your goal!

Diversity and Equity in Health provides students with a background in social determinants of health and health care with an emphasis on understanding and serving marginalized groups.

MS Nutrition & Dietetics (Options: Nutrition Education or Dietetics Internship). Nutrition Ed is available F2F and online. Dietetic Internship option is available F2F and Online; dietetic internship placement is in an approved f2f clinical setting. 

Graduate dietetic students at EIU are actively engaged with creative and scholarly activities within all areas of dietetic practice. The majority of dietetic course work involves various elements of integration learning, allowing students to “Connect, Reflect, and Grow” in their knowledge.
