This option is for students that want to work in a variety of settings, including clinical, public health, and social services and also want to be responsible for the day-to-day operations of a program or facility.
Are you passionate about health care, but you aren't interested in working directly with patients?
Do you like the idea of managing and organizing everything so your employees have what they need to provide direct care? Are you interested in the business side of health care? Do you like the idea of having a lot of choices about where you work, and what you do? Do you want a job with strong growth potential and a great salary? Do you want a career that makes a difference in people's lives each and every day?
Then Health Administration may be the right career for you!
Right away, students in Health Administration have the opportunity to develop research alongside our dedicated faculty. This faculty mentorship often leads to this research finding its way into regional, state and even national conferences.
Part of the program includes a required 320-clock hour internship in the profession. This hands-on experience helps students develop professional networks and be more successful in the job market.
The option to complete a double major in four years is a unique opportunity offered by the program. The Business major replaces our required Business Administration Minor.
Our faculty are invested in student success. Faculty always have their doors open and are available to students. They contribute financially to fund Departmental Student Scholarship Awards and take a team of students to the national Case Study Competition every spring.
