Nutrition is an important component to a healthy lifestyle. What we eat affects not only our overall health but our mood, stress, performance in daily activities and exercise. Eating a balanced diet can reduce your risk of developing certain chronic diseases such as: heart disease, type 2 diabetes, cancer, and metabolic syndrome.
At the HERC, a number of opportunities are offered to learn how to improve your eating habits. Check out our programs or request a one-on-one Nutritional Analysis with the Nutrition Education Coordinator. The HERC also has several resources available on different nutrition related topics. All of our services are free to students, faculty, and staff.
